"My name is Keith Grzelak and I strive to make every bow in such a way that the person buying it will be delighted when they first lay eyes on and even happier when they first fling an arrow from it!"
The bows I make fall somewhere in between primitive and traditional longbows. Like primitive longbows, they have no synthetic materials other than the strings and glue used to laminate the pieces of wood and bamboo together. So unlike modern traditional longbows, they have no fiberglass laminations. However, because they contain laminated pieces, they are more modern than a self-bow, (a bow made from a single piece of wood). They also have a cut-in arrow shelf, but it is not as close to center as modern traditional longbows. With the right arrow however, this matters not (:
I was taught and mentored by Master Bowyer Tom Turgeon for close to nine years. Over the past few years I have crafted my own design which I now feel I have perfected.
